Smurbs stakeholder workshop in Kyiv

During SMURBS Stakeholders Workshop we presented the first version of Urban Atlas for Kyiv and Air Quality monitoring system for Ukraine, developed within ERA-PLANET project in collaboration with our partners. Both products are based on satellite data (Sentinels 1, 2, 3 and 5P), validated and fused with in-situ measurements according to the methodology of Copernicus services. Air quality monitoring system is under development together with students of Noosphere Engineering School in our Institute and in Dnipro. Right now we are working on assimilation of in-situ measurements from sensors, developed in Dnipro Laboratory of Noosphere Engineering School. Happy to see so great interest to our products from the stakeholders. Please follow… Детальніше

Training «GIS and satellite monitoring for agrarian enterprises» was held

On the 30-31 of January held training «GIS and satellite monitoring for agrarian enterprises». During 2-day training course attenders were informed about “state of the art” agromonitoring products created with use of optical and radar satellite data. In particular attention was paid to biophysical parameters (LAI and FAPAR), pros and cons of their use in the domain of satellite agromonitoring were shown. Course attenders received practical work skills in modern GIS technologies – basics of raster and vector data processing in free GIS-system QGIS, fundamentals of agromonitoring and yield forecasting with use of satellite data. On concrete use cases we showed how crop state development monitoring is performed (with use… Детальніше
