A meeting of the Working Group on CIS emergencies monitoring satellite system creation was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
On November,6 ,2013 a meeting of the Working Group on CIS emergencies monitoring satellite system creation was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Representatives of Russian Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos), State Space Agency of Ukraine , National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Center of Space Research and Technology of National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in this meeting. State Space Agency of Ukraine was represented by Deputy Director of Space Research Institute NASU- SSAU prof. Nataliia Kussul.
The participants discussed the draft of the Action Plan for implementation of the pilot international innovational project "Development and certification of International Global Monitoring AeroSpace System (IGMASS ) and natural and technological emergency situations warning services using semantic and geospatial data," as well as approaches to risk assessment of emergency situations with the use of remote sensing and GIS technology based on satellite data .
