About the project:

Within the World Bank and EU Program “Supporting Transparent Land Governance in Ukraine”, funded by the EU one of the areas of work is the use of satellite data to solve the problem of monitoring land for Ukraine.

In previous years used small pilot areas and areas where were improved technology. This year for the Institute of Space Research of NAS of Ukraine and SSA Ukraine and commercial company EOS Data Analytics, which together carry this project was given the task of expanding to the scale of the whole country methodology for mapping land cover, which was developed during the pilot project in 2018 to three regions of Ukraine. In the future, to 2023 in public institutions is planned to develop and implement operational satellite monitoring technology.

The results of the project are currently available on the official portal of the State Geocadastre (https://newmap.land.gov.ua/).
