Deep Green Ukraine team received a grant under the “Open Data Challenge”

About the project:

The project aims to implement a monitoring system of the illegal deforestation presence based on open data from the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine, the State Land Cadastre and satellite data.

The project was created to preserve forests and, in particular, aims to improve the quality of Sustainable Development Goals – SDG-15 “Life on Land”. The methodology for creating a monitoring system has been developed within the framework of international projects, such as: World Bank “Supporting Transparent Land Governance in Ukraine” and “SMURBS ERA-PLANET” (EU research and innovation programs “Horizon 2020»).
