In 2020, the project “Methods and models of in-depth training for applied tasks of satellite monitoring” led by Natalia Kussul received grant funding from the National Research Fund of Ukraine and its implementation will last until the end of 2022.
Scientists from the Space Research Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the State Space Agency of Ukraine have been engaged in space development and their application for many years. Assessment of land fertility and drought losses; detection of deforestation; changes in the land cover caused by hostilities are just some of the areas where the knowledge and skills of the Institute’s scientists have come in handy.
