Today, the professor of our department, Natalіia Kussul, was among the speakers at the communication event «Scientific SuperNova», organized by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine with the informational support of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
They talked about the results of the project of the National Research Fund of Ukraine and the Institute of Space Research of the NAS of Ukraine and SCA of Ukraine 2020.01/0268 «Information technology for fire risk assessment and fire monitoring in natural ecosystems based on satellite data», which is also working and employees of NTTU «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
The project is coming to an end, and the result is information technology that allows you to regularly monitor the level of high-risk fire in every part of the country. «We can monitor not only fires, but also urban development, climate change, air quality, deforestation. Ukraine will take a worthy place in Europe, at least in the field of intelligence. And not just artificial».
