Kyiv Polytechnic University published an article about Hanna Oleksiivna Yaіlymova, an employee of the Department of Space Information Technologies and Systems, PhD.
Hanna Oleksiivna leads the work of the student group in applied mathematics at the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky. The publication is dedicated to the scientific activity of Hanna Yailymova and the activity of the group, work with talented youth.
The field of scientific interests of Hanna Oleksiivna is satellite monitoring, development of land cover maps, analysis and processing of geospatial data, GIS. The young scientist is an active participant in state and international projects in the field of satellite monitoring and data analysis, including projects of the National Research Fund of Ukraine, projects of the World Bank and the European Commission. The scientist was recently awarded a scholarship by the CM of Ukraine.
The participants of the circle of applied mathematics under the leadership of Hanna Yailymova, namely undergraduate and graduate students of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky Volodymyr Kuzin, Yevhen Grigorenko, Oleksiy Dyakun took part in the NASA Space App Challenge hackathon, where they went to the international stage and won valuable prizes. Gurtkiv residents also participate in active scientific projects.
Career orientation work with talented pupils and students, popularization of knowledge on satellite monitoring, setting interesting tasks help unite and encourage young people to engage in scientific activities.
