Previously, the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) released preliminary rankings for the National System of Researchers of Ukraine, and on October 29, 2026, the MES issued an official order regarding the awarding of scholarships.
Separate rankings were compiled for established scientists and young researchers across various fields. Bohdan Yailymov ranked 66th out of 654 established scientists in the category 07 “Information Technologies and Electronics,” while Yevhenii Salii ranked 69th among young researchers in the same category. In total, 14 scientists from the Space Research Institute (NASU-SSAU) were evaluated for the ranking, and these two were the only ones to be awarded this scholarship specifically in their capacity as primary employees.
A scholarship has also been awarded to Prof. Andrii Shelestov, who ranks 16th out of 654 senior researchers in the field of 07 “Information Technologies and Electronics”; he will receive it in his capacity as a professor at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI).
Prof. Nataliia Kussul ranks 29th out of 654 senior researchers in the same field; however, as she is currently completing a research internship at the University of Maryland, she is formally ineligible to receive this scholarship.
We extend our sincere congratulations to our colleagues and take great pride in the entire research team of the department for these shared achievements!
